About me:

I’m an artist, illustrator and poet living in Burnaby, British Columbia. Since childhood, art has been a huge part of my life. I love the process of being able to bring an idea I have to life through various subjects, themes, colours and textures. The idea and the act of making art has changed for me over the years, I’ve had to overcome people pleasing and falling victim to perfectionism which has hindered my therapeutic processes. Like most artists, it ebbs and flows between honouring what calls my soul and what I think should be made. While I’m currently focused on nature inspired watercolour/mixed media work, my current mindset is to create in whatever way feels best at the moment, whatever way that looks: creativity without limitation.

I was born in Toronto and raised in Whitby, Ontario, before settling in the bountiful British Columbia back in 2020. My educational background is in Child and Youth Care, my first diploma obtained from Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario, which led me to exploring a career in Behavioural Intervention and Educational Assisting. In 2023, I decided to return back to school to pursue my passion in arts, graduating from Langara College’s Fine Art diploma program in August of 2025. I’m currently taking some time off of school to focus on growing my fine arts business until the fall of 2026 where I will continue my education, working towards obtaining a masters in art therapy.

My Work

ARTIST AND ILLUSTRATOR

In my practice I gravitate mainly towards watercolour and mixed media mediums like: pencil crayons, tissue paper, oil pastels, ink pens and more. The subjects that inspire me come from the natural world; flora, fauna, insects, water, and female forms, often combining portraiture and landscapes. These subjects often come together to compose themes about my self-identity, mental health, spirituality and my relationship with nature. My art is quite narrative and representational for that reason. I like to engage with symbolism from natural world subjects to create outward reflections of my thoughts and personal experiences with self-image, beauty standards, neurodivergence, and anxiety to name a few.

The illustrator part of my practice likes to explore the playful, silly and the fun. While the inspiration for my work is still mostly inspired by nature, I like to storytelling using a variety of subjects that are light hearted, bring others a sense of joy and happiness.

Styles/
Mediums

My work is typically a combination of realism styles like naturalism and imaginative realism, often in combination with line art and elements of surrealism.

Mediums/materials: Watercolour is the main medium I work with, however I seldomly use it on its own. I use a mixed media approach to almost all of my work, I love the texture, depth and tactility it creates. Here's a list of the mediums and brands I use:
